Fight Hair Fall

Home remedies for hair loss

To avoid hair fall you must not wash your hair with water that is extremely hot. Use warm water to wash your hair. Do not wash your hair daily, washing it 2 to 3 times a week with shampoo and conditioner will suffice. Avoid hair styles that require you to back comb your hair as this leads to hair breakage. Do not brush or comb your hair too often either. Keep it tied up in a pony tail or bun if you are suffering from hair fall. Get a hot oil massage once a week. Massage Aloe Vera gel onto your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes, this helps to lock in moisture in your hair and prevents hair fall.

Pedicure

Looking perfectly beautiful is what every woman dreams for but every woman can’t afford going to parlors frequently. Here I must suggest easy pedicure method, and foot exercises.

The Perfect Simple Pedicure:
Fill tub with warm water and place a towel fold into square in the bottom of the bucket. This is done so your feet rest on a smooth surface.

Now add half a cup of Epsom salt which is a natural disinfectant. You can also add a few teaspoons of Herbal Vapors containing rosemary, eucalyptus and menthol.

Remove nail polish and if you feel that cuticles are dry then drop 1-2 drops of olive oil to cotton pad and apply on them. Smooth edges using nail file. The recommended shape is square with rounded edges.

Soak feet in warm water for 5 minutes and then let them to rest on the edge of the tub.

Use a foot file to smooth your heels and the outsides of your toes. Pat feet dry with a towel.

Use edge of the nail file to push your cuticles back, then a nail brush dipped in an exfoliating scrub, to clean the area where your nail meets your skin.Rinse and dry feet and then massage by applying plenty of super-moisturizing foot lotion or cream.

Then apply nail polish over the nails and if you are wearing an open sandal and going out in the sun, then apply sunscreen on the feet.

How To Stop Your Shoes From Smelling

Sprinkle some talcum powder inside your shoes, immediately after you take them off.
Put some soda bicarb into your shoe and shake it around, down till the toes. Place the shoes in a plastic bag and keep inside the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
Before you put on shoes in the morning, sprinkle some talcum powder on your feet.
you feet thoroughly in the morning, especially the area in-between your toes.
Make sure that your feet are completely dry, before you put on shoes. Wet feet can lead to smelly shoes.
Change your socks at least once in a day. In case you are involved in an activity that leads to sweating, changing the socks more often is required.
Whenever you take a bath, don a fresh pair of socks.
Wash you sports shoes once a week and always let the shoes dry completely, before you put them on.
Stick to shoes that are made from natural materials, as they allow your feet to breathe and let sweat dissipate easier.
Every few days, keep your shoes outside, in the sun. It will help get rid of any smell in them.

For All Feet

  1. Wash your feet daily. Rinse off all soap and dry thoroughly, especially between toes.
  2. Trim nails straight across, and not too short. Don't cut out or dig at corners.
  3. Do not trim, shave, or use over-the-counter medicines to dissolve corns or calluses
  4. Wear clean socks or stockings, changed daily. Don't wear any that are too short or too tight.
  5. Wear shoes that fit.
Some people's feet sweat more than others, and are more prone to athlete's foot.

    These tips may help:

    1. shoes made of leather or canvas - not synthetics. Sandals are good.
    2. Switch shoes from day to day.
    3. Use foot powder.
    4. See your doctor if severe problems persist.

COSMETIC TIP!!

COSMETIC TIP!! :

Eyeliner...the best is liquid but if your hand is just a little too shaky and you end up with a mess...try lining with a pencil and then lining over it with cake liner...much easier to handle

Eye Liner Pencil Safety :

Before using, sharpen your eye liner pencil to remove any bacteria that has built up.

Eye Makeup and Eye Infections :
If you have been suffering from recurring eye infections, it could be your eye makeup. These products can easily be contaminated with germs and as a result, be the cause of the infection.

Eye Shadow Application After 40 :
You might notice a tendency for your lids to appear somewhat crepey. This makes shadow application more difficult. To counteract this, stay away from bright colors. Subtley is what you are looking for at this point as softer colors are far more flattering and less aging.

Eyeliner That Is Too Harsh :
If you don't like the sharpness of your eyeliner, you can soften it by adding a little powder shadow in a similair shade with your eye shadow brush

Eyeshadow That Stays In Place :
Melting eyeshadow is a problem for all of us but there is a way to make it "stick" a little longer. I have found that if you use a damp eyeshadow brush and apply a layer of face powder to your lids and allow to set, the shadow will stay in place for the day. Takes an extra second or so but the effort is well worth it.

New Use For Gold Pencil :
After applying your lipstick, highlight your bottom lip with just a dab of gold. It won't be noticeable but it will make a big difference.

Powder Liner Know How :
If you line your eyes with a powder shadow and it simply goes everywhere as you apply it, do so while holding a tissue directly beneath your eye to catch the shadow particles. Works every time.

Sponge Tip Applicators :
This is the first time that I have seen information that gives you a reason not to throw these applicators away. I read about this practise recently and decided to give it a try. Instead, of using a brush for light colors, use the sponge applicator. It picks up more color and gives you better coverage. I tried this and it does work. Actually, I like it even better than the eye shadow brushes. I wouldn't suggest using it for dark colors however.

To Make Eyes Look Younger :
The first step is to apply a little eye cream on the brow bone and under the eye. this will reduce fine lines. Now dab on a concealer that matches your skin tones. The last step is to line the eye with a white pencil just beneath the lash line. It will give the impression of larger and brighter eyes.

Using an Eye Shadow Pencil :
Don't draw the pencil across your eyelid as this could cause stretching of the skin. Instead, apply the color to the palm of your hand, pick up some of the color with your pinky and apply gently to eyelid.

Where To Use Golden Eye Shadow :
Use a touch on the brow bone to make your eyes look even brighter. You can use powder or one of those fat pencils. I have even used that liquid highlighter in a bottle and it gives good results too.

Eye Make-up Tips

Remedies For Puffy Eyes

1. Take a metal spoon and run it under cold water. Place the metal on the puffy area for at least 60 seconds.
2. Apply hemorrhoid cream (look for brands that contain ingredients of yeast and shark's liver oil) to the puffy area. Insiders have known for years that in just the way it gets the swelling out of that other area, it works the same way for the face.
Thin cucumber slices used as compresses over closed eyes will relieve sore, puffy eyes.

Lining Eyes

1. Dust a sheer, loose powder on the upper and lower lids so the eyeliner sticks better. If you are going to curl your lashes, do it now. (Otherwise you could smudge the line).
2. Choose the right formula. For a cleanstraight line, use a liquid version (try one with felt tip, like those from Lancome or L'Oreal). To create a softer, more subtle line, pencils are best.

Curl And Lengthen Your Eyelashes

Draw wand out of mascara tube and remove access on a piece of paper towel.Hold wand horizontally and slowly twirl as you move the brush from the roots to the tips.To set curl, hold wand and lashes together at the tips for a several seconds.Apply second coat before the first coat has dried to avoid clumping.Apply mascara carefully to the bottom lashes, holding wand vertically. While lashes are still wet, comb through the lashes (carefully) with a lash comb to

separate each lash.

Make Him Melt With Big, Doe Eyes

Eyeliner is the magic wand for creating the illusion of bigger, more expressive eyes. Line the entire top lash line and extend the line slightly at the corners. You can also line the bottom of your eyes, but concentrate color only on the outer third and extend it slightly past the edge. (We're not talking Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra here.) A soft, smoky look will open your eyes more than a thin, hard line. Stick to dark, neutral colors with a hint of black for lining, as bright shades will only make them seem smaller.

Emphasize Eyes

For evening glamour, line the inside of lower lids with navy, violet or jade eye pencil.

Bloodshot Eyes
An easy way to reduce the redness is to scoop cold water into your hands and splash it on your closed eyes. This should be enought to reduce the capillaries. If this isn't enough, mild drops that can be found at your local drug store may be required. Also be certain that the cause of the redness is not attributed to an irritation to your eye shadow or mascara.

Choose Green
Any greens in your makeup bag? There should be if you have a habit of wearing taupe, aqua, pale blue or even whites. Pearly greens ranging from almost a yellow-green to a moss green will work well. The only word of warning is that pearly shades will emphasize crepey eyes so give this some thought first.

Basic Eye Care

Eye Care Tips

1. Take A vitamin diet to make eyes brighter. (papaya, eggs, fish, milk, cilantro etc.,) Wash eyes with cold water to get sparkling eyes.

2. Put sliced cucumber over your eyes to treat dark circles.

3. Put potato slices on your eye to get rid off those dark circles.

4. Soak amla overnight in water and use this water the next morning to wash the eyes.

5. Soak cotton in Luke warm milk and cover eyes with it for 15 min.

6. To soothe tired eyes, dip cotton pads in chilled milk and place on closed eyes for 10 minutes. Now relax completely.

7. To completely relax the eyes and the surrounding muscles, close your eyes and think of something that is pleasant or soothing and at a distance. Now gently open your eyes and look into the distance. Next focus on an object at arm's length. Do this extremely relaxing exercise four or five times a day.

8. If your eye twitches, or your eyes are red and feeling itchy, massage your scalp with curd.

9. Soak 1 tsp. dry amla in one cup of water overnight. Next morning strain it through a muslin cloth and then add one extra cup of water. Splash your eyes with this solution each morning. This makes your eyes sparkle.

10. For Puffy Eyes: Grate a potato with its peel and apply on your closed eyelids for about 20 minutes and relax completely. You may even take a nap.

11. Wash your face before sleeping, and ensure that there is no make-up on your face before you sleep, because, make-up creams may spoil your face as it will be there for the whole night. It is better if no cream is applied. What I feel is, wash your face before sleeping and if at all you want to apply any cream, just apply night cream and none other than that.

Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing and Exfoliating

Different Methods of Skin Care

Cleansing, toning, moisturizing and exfoliation all serve different purposes and all of them are necessary to keep your skin looking its very best.

CLEANSING

Cleansing removes dirt, bacteria and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Cleansing skin care is perhaps one of the most important things we can do to help keep our skin looking healthy and beautiful. Without cleansing, our faces would develop a build-up of materials that would make our faces dirty, shiny and dull. The bacteria and dirt on our face would also increase the risk of bacterial infections, leading to skin problems like acne. Cleansing is particularly important for people with oily skin, who have excess oil on their face which attracts dirt and debris.Cleansing should not just stop with the face. Body cleansing is also important. However, a different type of cleansing may be needed for the body, than the cleansing which is needed for the face.

TONING

Facial toning does a number of things to keep your skin looking healthy. Firstly, it removes traces of dirt and debris that are left after cleansing. It also restores the skin's natural pH balance.Toning is very beneficial for the pores. It helps tighten them up so that there is less chance of infection and acne. A good toner can tone up the skin and make it appear smoother

MOISTURIZING

Moisturizing helps hydrate the skin and prevent it from further moisture loss. It can also provide a protective barrier to stop moisture from escaping from the skin. Water and many skin care products can strip the skin of moisture. Moisturizing lotion helps replace that loss moisture. It is very important for people with dry skin, who have less sebum (the skin's natural oil) on their skin.Face masks can also have a moisturizing effect. Moisturizing face masks are very good for people with dry skin who may need some extra moisture and attention.

EXFOLIATING

Exfoliating removes the surface layer of skin, along with any dirt, debris and dead skin cells. It provides a more thorough clean than cleansing. Removing the top layer of skin helps the new healthy skin to appear.

Lips Care Tips

Lips are the sensory organ of the mouth. Lips are considered as a representation for sensuality. To highlight the lips, and to make it more attractive, here are some useful tips.

Lip shape tricks:

If lips are thick then don’t use bright colors. Use the soft color and avoid lip liner.
If lips are too thin then use dark colors to highlight it.
Never draw lips exterior from the normal to make it false thicker.
If you have curved lips then softly use your lip liner to smooth them.

Lip care
Put the powder on the lips stick to stay it longer.
Use moisturizer on lips in winter to assure smooth and soft lips.
To get rid of flakes from dried lips, lightly brush on it.
If you desire various colors from one lipstick color, apply various quantity of toner, until you get the preferred color.
To avoid lips from chapping at the time to use dry lip sticks, apply a light layer of Vaseline.Avoid licking the lips; take a lot of water to avoid dryness, and use lip balm before sleep for the nourishment of your lips even in your slumber. Apply a sunburn cream on your lips when you get outside.
To get an ideal lip line, dip your pencil in the water for couple of minutes (with the cap on), then use it normally. This makes your pencil firmer and deeper.

Manicured Hands

Our hands do a lot for us and need nurturing in return. A manicure can improve nail and skin condition. In a professional manicure nails are gently shaped then the nail plate cleaned with either non-drying polish removers or special soaks. Art of manicure began 5000 years ago. In India, henna was used for manicure. The term Mehandi, used synonymously for henna, derives from the Sanskrit mehandika. The word "manicure" comes from the Latin manus, meaning, "hand," and cura meaning, "care".

French Manicure
Before beginning you should prepare your hands and nails. Clean your hands with some body scrub. Rinse your hand well and dry thoroughly.

Then file your nails neatly. While filing move the file in one direction only from the outer corner to the center. Changing the file direction often can damage the nail plate. Use a file that has a fine surface and smoothly glides over the nail.

Apply a layer of sweet almond oil to nourish and soften your nails. Wrap a warm towel and leave for about15 minutes. Unwrap and then push your cuticles back using a rubber hoof stick. Rinse hands in warm water to remove oil and dry thoroughly.

Apply a coat of base over your nail to strengthen the nail. This leaves a smooth surface to apply nail polish.

If you want your nails to look square, paint a straight line across the tip, along the tip of the nail for a rounded appearance. If you want your nails to look pointed, paint from the sides towards the center. While painting your nails place your hand on a flat surface. Keep the ball of the hand you are painting steady by placing in on the same surface. Allow the polish to dry.

As a final coat apply a coat of translucent shell-pink polish over the nail to seal the whitened tip and this will complete the look. If you want extra shine and protection apply a clear, glossy topcoat.

A manicure is a beauty treatment for your fingernails and hands. Apart from cleaning, nourishing, softening your hands, a manicure will also include filing and shaping the nails and applying nail polish. A manicurist can also apply jewels on nails, paint pictures or designs on them. You should visit a manicurist who is licensed as he is dealing with the skin of your hand.

There is a risk of infection if the tools are not properly cleaned and sanitized as the same tools are used on a number of people.

Care Hands with Homemade Lotions

Hands are an important part of the body and personality as well. Great care is needed to keep hands soft and beautiful. Here are few lotions that I am suggesting and which can be easily made at home:

Take

1 Cup Glycerine
1 Cup Rose Waterand
1/2 teaspoon Vitamin E oil(optional).

Mix then all well and pour and store this lotion in a plastic or glass bottle.

Take

2/3 cup Rosewater
1/3 cup Aloe vera gel
1 vitamin E capsule.

Mix rosewater and aloevera gel and take Vitamin E capsule and pour its contents in the mixture. Mix this well and it is very good for hands.

Take

1/2 cup Glycerine
1/2 cup Rosewater
1/4 cup Lemon juice

Mix well and this is also very affective for heels and gives hands a soft and beautiful look.
Combine2 tbsp oil1 tbsp salt and1 tbsp sugar.

Spread on hands and leave for 5 minutes, then rinse in lukewarm water. Its Wonderful!

Treat Dry Hands with Homemade Moisturizer

Hands are an important part of the personality. Dried hands therefore give a poor impression. There is natural oil in hands that keeps the skin moisturized but the use of detergent and soaps proves to be harmful. When we wash hands with the detergent or soap, that oil combines with it and becomes alkaline (Acidic) and dries out the skin of the hands. The use of moisturizer lessons or wipes out that acidity. I am presenting a homemade moisturizer that is very effective.

Coconut Oil – 4 Tablespoon
Olive Oil – 4 Teaspoon
Sunflower Oil - 4 Teaspoon
Almond Oil - 4 Teaspoon
Lavender Oil – 4 Teaspoon

Mix all these oils well. Apply on hands and massage for 5 minutes. After then wash hands but don’t forget to add few drops of lemon juice in water before washing.

Treatment of Dry Skin

Treatment of Dry Skin

Avoiding harsh soaps, detergents, and perfumes, which tend to dry the skin.

Reduce how often you bath or shower, and use lukewarm water. Showers may be better than baths.

Applying a salicylic acid solution or cream (which removes the top layer of skin) - if the skin is scaly.

Replace standard soap with a substitute such as a synthetic detergent cleanser, water-miscible emollient, bath oil, anti-pruritic tar oil, etc.

Avoiding rubbing or scratching the skin, which can aggravate the symptoms and cause infection .
The doctor can prescribe an Alpha hydroxyacid lotion for your skin which will dissolve the scales and will increase the moisture content of your skin.

Apply an emollient liberally and often, particularly after bathing, and when itchy. The drier the skin, the thicker this should be, especially on the hands.

Treat eczematous patches with a topical steroid for a 5 to 15 day course. These are prescribed by your doctor and should be only applied to the red and itchy areas.

Moisturize immediately after bathing are most effective for trapping water in the skin.
To minimize the irritating effects of shaving on already dry skin, make sure to use a lubricating agent like shaving cream before starting and shave in the direction that hair grows.

Avoid hot water, because it removes natural skin oils more quickly.

Prolonged showers or baths hydrate the skin, but the evaporation process and towel drying the skin. Therefore, bathing and showering should be kept brief, between 5 and 10 minutes.

Coloring Your Hair

Hair coloring tips

1. Before coloring:

Wash your hair. A good kind of shampoo to use is one that removes the pollutants of your hair. Do not conditioning and do not use a shampoo/conditioner
mixtures available in single bottle. Conditioner will interfere with the dye bonding to your hair.

If your scalp is soft and sensitive or your hair damaged or dry, wait about a day after washing to bleach or use permanent dye.

2. While coloring:

Follow the mixing instructions exactly as given.

Use protective gloves and an old towel, especially when you are new to hair coloring.

To keep the dye off your skin, you could put creamy gel like Vaseline around your hairline and it's better don't get it in your hair though, or it will unnecessarily bother your hair coloring process.

3. After coloring:

To make your coloring to last longer, rinse your hair in lemon based solution immediately after dyeing. This raises the strength of the hair color.

Another tip is to add two spoons of hair color to your regular conditioner after each shampoo.

Leave it on three to five minutes and rinse it with warm water. This replenishes the color that was washed out.

Bleaching your hair roots is required after shampooing.

Healthy Hair Tips

Adequate Diet

Hair growth depends on an adequate diet. A widespread diet problem which causes loss of hair is iron deficiency Anaemia. The cause is too little iron in blood, brought on by a diet containing too little meat, eggs, cereals or peas and beans. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also needed to provide vitamin C, which enables the body to absorb iron.

Cutting the hair

Although cutting the hair is not essential to its well-being, it is easier to keep the scalp clean if the hair is kept reasonably short. Regular cutting does not make the hair grow strong or faster.

How hair can be damaged

Although scalp hair is hardy, and can withstand a lot of abuse, it can be damaged by too much or inexpertly applied perming, dyeing, bleaching and massage. The amount of beautying the hair can take varies from person to person. Occasionally the scalp is allergic to the dye and becomes inflamed and swollen. To prevent this occuring, the dye should be tested by applying it to a small area on the arm. If a patch of inflammation has developed, the dye must not be used on the hair.

Most people who bleach their hair do so with hydrogen peroxide. If the peroxide is repeatedly applied, it may make the hair brittle. If this happens the hair may turn rough, develop split ends, or become thinned or shortened.

Summer Hair Care Tips

1. Stay away from hair lightening products

Most contain some form of peroxide or metallic crystals and can cause severe damage to your hair, not to mention such undesirable effects such as orange, green, or pink hair. Worse, if the product does contain metallic crystals and you then perm your hair, it may literally turn your hair into mush and wash down the drain.

Although a chelator, (an ingredient in some shampoos), can help remove some of the metals residing on the hair shaft, they are not strong enough to remove metal deposits that have penetrated the shaft. The only chemicals that we know of that will do this are chemicals used in the development of film. These chemicals are highly toxic and we do not recommend that you mess with them.

Bottom line, just let nature do its own thing, or invest in a highlight. In the long run the highlight will be far less expensive than a color correction.

2. Use a hair conditioner that contains a sunscreen

If you can't find one and you are heading out to swim or tan, simply massage some of your sunscreen into your hair, it should wash out.

If you are not going to use a sunscreen because you want a deep tan quickly, try using safflower oil. It provides your hair with much needed fatty acids, and makes a great tanning oil to boot.

3. After a day at the pool, clarify your hair

A clarifier is a stronger shampoo designed to remove toxins from you hair such as auto emissions and other environmental pollutants, as well as build up from some ingredients in over the counter shampoos such as silicon.

A clarifier is too strong to use daily, but once or even twice a week is okay. It should also help remove chlorine from your hair, but if you are at the pool daily you will need to invest in a special shampoo to control chlorine.

Avoid 'green hair' before it begins. Thoroughly wet your hair before you dip in the pool and add a bit of conditioner too. Wash your hair immediately upon exiting the pool, BEFORE YOUR HAIR HAS A CHANCE TO DRY. These precautions alone will go a long way toward dodging the 'swamp look.'

Although not exactly a fashion statement, you can always wear a bathing cap too.
If you already have the 'Greenies' you can look around for a shampoo called 'Malibu 2000.' It may or may not work. You can also try soaking your hair in tomato juice, cap it and let it sit on the hair for about twenty minutes, then rinse, shampoo, rinse, and condition the hair
.

How to Comb Your Hair?

Best Tips on How to Brush and Comb Hair:

However, there are still a lot of myths and old wives' tales floating around out there and we need to dispose of them. Here are some common myths about combing and brushing the hair.

Brushing hair has many benefits:

1. It untangles hair before shampooing. 2. It removes loose scales from the scalp.
3. It distributes natural oil evenly throughout the hair. But like anything in life, what is good can turn bad, if not done in moderation. That's why you must learn how to do it properly.
What is the proper way to comb hair?

A good rule of thumb is to only use your brush when your hair is dry and your comb when your hair is wet. Reversing this rule will cause the hair to break.

1. Comb Selection: Choose a comb that is firm and not easily bent under pressure. The teeth should be evenly spaced and not too closed together (this may put unneeded stress on the hair). Long-haired and thick-haired individuals should use a wide-toothed comb.

2. Comb cleansing: You may clean your brushes and combs in one shot, for your convenience.

3. When to Comb: Whenever hair is wet, for example, when untangling freshly-washed hair, when in early stages of blow-drying, or when creating styles with gel on wet hair. A comb may be used on the dry hair of a person with very short hair.

4. How to Comb: Begin toward the ends, freeing tangles as you work your way up, section by section, to the crown. Comb gently. You may wish to use a detangling or leave-in conditioner spray, to help free tangles with ease and add softness and sheen to hair
